Microsoft will officially end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide technical assistance, feature updates, or security patches for Windows 10. While your Windows 10 device will continue to function, it will become increasingly vulnerable to security threats and compatibility issues.

When it comes to your a la mode software, your workflow won’t be interrupted, and TOTAL will continue to function on Windows 10 devices. However, we strongly recommend upgrading to Windows 11 to ensure you continue receiving critical security updates — something Microsoft will stop providing for Windows 10 after October 14.

As you consider upgrading your operating system, or even your PC, here are a few helpful tips to keep your business running smoothly:
Most users can upgrade directly when prompted by Windows. Just make sure your device meets Microsoft’s system requirements for Windows 11.
If your PC is older than 2016, it likely lacks the TPM 2.0 chip required for Windows 11. In that case, the upgrade will fail and your system will revert to Windows 10. If this happens, check out our system recommendations for TOTAL before purchasing a new machine.
Whether you're installing Windows 11 on your current PC or moving to a new one, use our Move TOTAL Utility to back up and transfer your data quickly and easily from the old version of Windows to the new one. The only difference is if you're upgrading to Windows 11 on the same computer, you'll treat the old version of Windows (Windows 10) as the "Old PC" and then once you've upgraded to Windows 11 you'll treat it as the "New PC".
